Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotaping

What is it, and what’s the benefit?

A new approach to treating muscular, tendinous, ligamentous, and circulatory issues.

The kinesiotape strip stimulates microcirculation in the venous and lymphatic systems. The skin is used for its role as a sensory vector by stimulating mechanoreceptors and nociceptors. This provides supportive therapy that promotes the tissue healing process.

Applying kinesiotape helps reduce tissue repair time, enables faster recovery, and may allow continuation of activity.

Areas of application?

Kinesiotape is suitable for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics who do not have contraindications (e.g., fragile skin, infection, etc.). It is also widely used in sports physiotherapy.

Depending on the taping technique, different outcomes can be achieved:

Objectives

Kinesiotape helps extend the effects of physiotherapy beyond the session (lasting 3–5 days). It relieves pain, reduces swelling, and supports the body’s natural healing processes.
