Fasciatherapy in Le Grand-Saconnex
About fasciatherapy
Fasciatherapy is a manual approach that complements the treatment options available in physiotherapy. It focuses on the fascia, the connective tissues that surround and connect the different structures of our body.
Like a spider’s web, the fascia forms a continuous network around muscles, organs and nerves. It helps support the tissues and transmit forces during movement.
At Physio Santé Fit, our physiotherapy practice in Le Grand-Saconnex, we integrate fasciatherapy into personalised care tailored to your needs and goals.
When can fasciatherapy help?
- Pain or pulling sensations around scars ;
- Neck and back pain, particularly in the cervical and lumbar regions ;
- Certain headaches associated with neck tension ;
- Pain or tension in the chest ;
- Musculoskeletal tension in the chest and upper back ;
- Pain and movement difficulties in the arms or legs ;
- Muscle pain and soft tissue tension.
To address these difficulties, we use manual fascial release techniques. Pressure and mobilisation are adapted to the affected areas and your sensitivity, with the aim of reducing feelings of tension and making movement easier.
We may also use foam rollers and provide exercises to complement manual treatment with an active, functional approach.
We gradually adapt the movements to your mobility and comfort. At every stage, treatment and exercises take your needs, abilities and feedback into account.
